Hitachi: Enhancing Web3 Wallet Security via Biometrics

Hitachi, Ltd. (Hitachi) has collaborated with HashPort to integrate its Public Biometric Infrastructure (PBI) into the "Hash Wallet" Web3 platform, enabling identity verification via facial recognition.
HashPort implemented a PBI integration feature within Hash Wallet by utilizing Hitachi’s biometric integration service. This allows for passcode-free asset management while maintaining high-level security through the encryption of biometric data.
As a result, both the security and user experience of the Web3 wallet have been significantly enhanced. The solution is currently being considered for multiple projects, including the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan official wallet, contributing to the social implementation of a safe and secure Web3 experience powered by PBI.
