Nara Prefecture: Nara Sake NFT Campaign Showcases Local Appeal

During the Osaka-Kansai Expo, Nara Prefecture launched the “Nara Sake Brewery Tour NFT Campaign” to promote local attractions. The campaign was held as an NFT stamp rally at sake breweries and official shops across the prefecture. By scanning barcodes at each location, participants collected Nara Sake NFT stamps (SBTs) in the app, designed based on actual sake labels. Participants could also receive original pin badges featuring the same designs by presenting their collected NFTs. The campaign was conducted in two phases, covering the Hokuwa and Chunanwa areas.
HashPort provided the system to issue and manage the NFT stamps and built a smooth digital process from collection to reward exchange. The experience was designed to be simple and easy to use, even for people unfamiliar with NFTs or blockchain.
The campaign helped introduce the appeal of Nara’s local sake to Expo visitors, encouraged travel within the region, and created new opportunities for local spending. It also became an example of combining traditional culture with Web3 technology.
